The Crimea is a holiday nirvana, and you don’t even need a visa
to get there. Mountains, beaches, fried rams’ testicles —
what more could a traveler desire?
Alupka Palace…Livadia Palace…Massandra Palace…Yalta…Chekhov's
House…Sevastopol… Balaclava Naval Museum Complex…
Chersonesus… Bakhchisarai… Uspensky Monastery…Foros
Church…Swallows Nest Castle are just some of the 'must see' sights
of Crimea!
We invite you to visit Crimea - a peninsula & region of Ukraine, steeped in history, yet still unspoilt and just perfect for discovering whether it be in Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter.
Take time to visit the Swallows Nest Castle (one of the most photographed sights of Crimea and surprisingly small - now a restaurant), the Livadia Palace (famous for the Yalta Conference which took place in 1945 and attended by Churchill, Stalin and Roosevelt), the Alupka Palace (also know as Vorontsov's Palace), Massandra Palace and its historical collection of wine and don't forget to take a stroll along the Yalta Promenade.

Chersonesus, the ancient Greek Settlement lies not far from Sevastopol and dates back to 6th Century BC. See beautiful Greek ruins on the shore of the Black Sea including the remains of the Necropolis and ancient amphitheatre. Chersonesus is also a place revered by all Eastern Orthodox, as it was the place where Prince Volodymyr of Kyiv was baptized and later brought Christianity to the Kievan Rus. A beautiful Cathedral dedicated to St Volodymyr sits near the site of his baptism - although badly damaged during World War II, since the fall of the Soviet Union the Ukrainian government has fully restored it to its former glory.
A visit to the Crimea is not complete without a visit to Bakhchisarai - once the capital of the mighty Crimean Khanate. The Khan's palace is a glorious example of medieval Islamic architecture, and is home to the Fountain of Tears, made famous by Pushkin in his poem 'The Fountain of Bakhchisarai'. See the Khan's Harem, private mosque and beautiful interior gardens.
